Our team is excited to bring back Preferred Pineapple Week starting Saturday June 20 with a week-long celebration culminating on International Pineapple Day, Saturday, June 27.

As with previous years, the intent behind the campaign is to provide a turnkey way for us to highlight independent member hotels around the world on our brand social channels, re-engage consumers with some of the incredible stories from across our portfolio, and celebrate travel through the symbolism of our brand’s pineapple logo – the universal icon of hospitality.

Preferred Pineapple Week 2026: Stays with Stories:

As the emblem of Preferred, the pineapple has always represented more than a motif. It has stood as a promise of warmth, welcome, and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.

This year, Preferred Pineapple Week returns to that founding spirit with a theme that speaks to the soul of independent hotelkeeping: Stays with Stories.

Across seven days, the spotlight will shine on the remarkable narratives found across the portfolio - the details, the characters, and the moments that transform a stay into something guests carry with them long after they leave.

Each day introduces a dedicated theme, designed to showcase the full depth and diversity of what makes an independent hotel truly extraordinary.

How to participate: 

As part of this campaign, we invite all member properties to submit pineapple-themed imagery and share your on-property stories to showcase on social media throughout the week. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to participate and so have shared the deck below to guide you on the range of ways you can get involved which also includes example copy.

Campaign Deck for Hotel Promotion:

We have created a campaign deck outlining the themes, our posting calendar and including guidelines and best practices on how to maximize the visibility of your unique property features with travelers, fellow Preferred member hotels, and the travel community at large.
